You can contact the Royal Danish Consulate in Cebu if you are applying
for a visa for Denmark, Norway and Iceland. Please note that for all types of
visas for Denmark, Norway and Iceland, you are required to pay the visa fee
upon submission of your application. This fee will not be refunded if your visa
application is rejected.

Should you wish to submit your application at the Consulate in Cebu, your
documents will be forwarded to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila for
processing.

It is also possible for our Embassy in Manila, should your visa application be
approved, to forward your passport/visa to the Consulate in Cebu for your
convenience. However, please allow a minimum of 2 weeks extra prior to your
departure for the release and transfer of your documents to Cebu.

APPLICATION FOR A SCHENGEN VISA
Norway, Denmark and Iceland are part of the Schengen area which includes
the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain
and Sweden.

You may apply for a Schengen visa at the Norwegian Embassy, the Norwegian
Consulate in Cebu or the Danish Consulate in Cebu if Norway, Denmark or
Iceland is your main destination within the Schengen area. If you do not have
a main destination, you must apply for a visa at the foreign mission of the
Schengen country where the initial entry is to take place.

TOURISM
Are you planning on going on a tour to Norway and/or Denmark and/or
Iceland (as a tourist) without visiting anyone in particular?
You may apply for a tourist visa, maximum of 90 days. Processing time is
currently 4-6 weeks from the time when you have submitted a complete
application to the Embassy. For groups of more than 20 pax. the processing
time might be longer. If you are also planning to visit other Schengen countries,
please note that you will be asked to submit a full and complete travel itinerary.
If your stay in Norway or Denmark or Iceland will be shorter than the stay you
are planning in another Schengen country, you cannot apply for a visa at the
Royal Norwegian Embassy. You must then apply for a visa at the Embassy of
the Schengen country where you will be spending the most time.

How long can an applicant stay in Schengen on a tourist visa?
A visa issued for 90 days can not be extended. During a 6 month period the
applicant is entitled to stay within the Schengen area for a maximum of 90
days, after which there will be a quarantine for 3 months before another 90
days can be granted for Schengen.

How does the processing of my application take place?
When your application and all the required documents have been received in
good order by our Embassy, the processing and evaluation of the application
will start. The processing will include the registration of the applicant’s biodata
on the SIS database (the Schengen Information System). This registration
process takes around 14 days, and can not be rushed by the Embassy. The
decision will then be made, either to reject your application or to grant you a
visa. You will receive a letter from our Embassy concerning the decision, after
5-6 weeks.

When should I apply?
You are recommended to apply for the tourist visa well in advance of your trip,
to avoid delay in your travel and unnecessary expense. The Embassy will not
be able to give your application special priority due to lack of planning.

How can the visa application documents be obtained?
The application documents can be obtained as follows:
     • Collected from the Norwegian Embassy in Manila or from the
        Norwegian Consulate in Cebu
     • Download Schengen application form from: www.norway.ph
     • Upon your request an application document can be sent to you
through e-mail as an attachment (emb.manila@mfa.no)

How can the application documents be submitted?
The application documents for a tourist visa can be submitted by the applicant
in person to the Embassy in Manila or Consulate in Cebu, or submitted by
the representative/travel agent of the applicant. The Embassy can not accept
any applications submitted through e-mail/scanned documents or through
telefax.

Which documents have to be submitted in order to apply for a tourist visa?
Below is the complete list of document requirements. Please note that it
is very important that all the below mentioned documents are included
when the application is submitted. The Embassy can usually not accept
incomplete applications/documentation and any such discrepancy will delay
the processing of the application.

What shall I do if my visa application has been approved?
The Embassy will send you the approval letter informing you of the number
of days you are granted and your last date of entry. You will be required to
submit your confirmed non-refundable roundtrip airline tickets (plus one
copy), travel and health insurance valid for all Schengen countries with
minimum amount insured of EURO 30,000 (plus one copy) and a passport
sized colored picture with white background.

When and how can I get my visa?
It takes a minimum of 3 working days for the Embassy to issue the visa in
your passport. If you have not submitted your passport yet you or your travel
agent must do so, to the Embassy in Manila. Before the Embassy can issue
the visa you are required to submit your airline ticket. The ticket must be a fully
booked and non-refundable round trip ticket, showing the dates of departure
and arrival, and the final destination. Remember that if your ticket is booked
for more than the number of days you have been granted or to a different
destination than originally stated the Embassy will not accept it and will not
issue your visa until a new ticket is submitted. When the Embassy receives
and accepts your ticket, your tourist visa will be issued after 3 working days.
Only then can you or your representative pick up your passport/visa and ticket.
You may also pick up your visa at the Royal Norwegian Consulate in Cebu.
Please note that you in such cases have to allow the Embassy an additional
2 weeks before your departure, to prepare and send your visa/passport to
the Consulate. You must also send a clearly printed photocopy of your ticket
(not the itinerary) to the Embassy in order for us to issue the visa. Without this
copy a visa cannot be issued.
