General Requirements for Visa
•
Personal appearance of the applicant
• Valid passport (valid at least three (6) months
after the intended journey has ended)
• Schengen visa application form (available at
the embassy) duly completed,
dated and signed by the applicant
•
One (1) recent passport size photo
• International travel insurance valid throughout
the travel in the whole
Schengen territory (provided upon approval of visa)
•
Sufficient funds for subsitence, considering the duration of the intended
stay
and return journey to the country of departure (e.g. cash, a credit
card,
confirmed round trip ticket or booking certificate, a commitment of
the
inviter to bear the costs for the applicant’s stay)
• Processing fee (non-refundable)
•
Supporting documents showing the purpose of and preconditions for the intended stay:
Tourism
•
Detailed tour itinerary from travel agency
Business
•
Invitation letter from the host company in Finland
• Official endorsement from local
company, organization or institution
or business registration certificate
Private Visit
• Invitation letter (however, not a
condition for issuing a visa)
• Proof of relationship with the host may be required
(authenticated birth or marriage certificates)
Seamen
•
Original employment contract authenticated by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration
•
Declaration by local shipping company
• Fax from the Finnish shipping agent stating
the dates of arrival and departure of the ship
• Valid seaman book
